Eco Flexibles’ Director, Simon Buswell, took centre stage at the Digital Print for Packaging Europe conference, held December 5-6 2023, in London.
Bringing print industry professionals together to delve into the challenges and opportunities surrounding digital print in flexible packaging, Simon’s talk, ‘Challenges and Opportunities for Digital Print on Flexible Packaging’, proved to be a highlight of the conference.
Leveraging his extensive experience from the growth of the Eco Flexibles business, Simon’s presentation provided a comprehensive exploration of key technical aspects in digital printing for the packaging sector, covering topics such as packaging substrates, criteria for food contact inks, regulatory compliance, and the evolving role of sustainability in packaging design.
Simon emphasised the importance of agility in the rapidly growing digital packaging and label printing market, which has more than doubled in value and volume over the past five years and sits as one of the fastest-growing segments in the print market.
