There’s a catch, though. Most flexible packaging pouches are built from mixed-material laminates. They perform, but they can’t easily be recycled, so after a very short working life they become waste, and, increasingly, an EPR cost liability.
EcoFlow Pouch is our answer. It’s a range of flexible packaging pouches designed as recyclable mono material structures from the outset, so that the material stays in the packaging loop rather than falling out of it.
Specify recyclable mono polymer structures where clarity and a familiar plastic feel matter, or recyclable paper and paper laminate structures where a natural look and tactile finish do more for the brand. Functional and high barrier recyclable films are available across the range, protecting against moisture, oxygen and light so that shelf life and product protection hold up against the mixed-material laminate you’re replacing.
Every EcoFlow Pouch can be supplied plain or printed. Custom printed pouches are produced in-house on our Fujifilm Jet Press FP790 digital presses, water-based inkjet technology delivering gravure-quality graphics, with the fast turnaround and run-to-run colour consistency that make short runs, seasonal versioning and large multi-SKU ranges genuinely viable. Flexographic printing is available where volumes call for it. Through either approach, high gloss, matt, paper and metallised finishes are all on the table.
EcoFlow Pouch is packing snacks and confectionery, coffee and tea, pet food, health supplements and powders, frozen foods, household products and personal care lines. With a diverse range of formats and properties available, it can be built for almost any product and need.

Pouch Packaging FAQs
A stand up pouch is a flexible pack with a base gusset that lets it stand unaided on shelf. The two most common constructions are Doy (a rounded, classic gusset) and K-Seal (with sealed corners, giving squarer shoulders and a flatter facing panel for print). Both are available across the EcoFlow Pouch range.

Pouches suit almost any dry, chilled or frozen product that doesn’t need a rigid pack. We supply packaging for snacks, confectionery, coffee, tea, pet food, health supplements, powders, frozen foods, dried products, household goods and personal care lines.
Conventional pouches usually aren’t, because they combine several different plastics in one laminate that can’t be separated. Ours are designed differently. EcoFlow Pouch uses mono material structures, a single polymer family, or paper, so the pack is recyclable at end of life rather than destined for landfill or incineration.
A pouch built from one material family rather than a mix. Where a conventional laminate might combine PET, aluminium and mono polymer structures, a mono material pouch delivers the same barrier, strength and sealing performance using layers that recycle together as one stream.
Yes, it’s how most of ours are printed. Digital delivers gravure-comparable quality using water-based inks with no solvent VOCs, so there’s no visible trade-off in moving away from analogue. More on our digital pouch printing.
Yes, this is one of digital’s biggest advantages. Conventional flexo and gravure carry origination and set-up costs that make small volumes hard to justify. Digital removes most of that, so short runs, seasonal packaging, limited editions and trial SKUs all become commercially sensible.
It depends on the product. Barrier requirements, shelf life, fill method, weight and the desired look can all influence the answer. As a starting point, high barrier mono polymer structures suits fats, oils and aromas such as nuts and coffee, while paper structures work beautifully for drier products where a natural feel is part of the brand. Our technical team will specify it with you.
From functional barrier through to high barrier recyclable films, with protection against moisture, oxygen and light. We match the barrier to the shelf life you need rather than over-specifying, which keeps material use and cost down.
Yes. Reclose zippers are applied in-house during pouch conversion, alongside tear notches, euroslots, rounded corners and double cut features.
Yes. Our paper and paper laminate structures are produced to food contact standards under BRCGS Grade AA certification, with barrier layers specified to protect the product inside.
